About the company
Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Our client are currently seeking a Project Officer to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.

About the role
As a Project Officer, you will be part of a team that is tasked with developing and reporting data and insights across a large project. In addition, your key duties are as follows:

- Develop and manage project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
- Maintaining project documents, dashboards, registers, item logs and case preparation
- Developing reports and presentations for senior managers and project stakeholders
- Identifying risk and associated issues.
- Recording and reporting identified risks
- Data reporting
- Organising meetings and creating minutes from meetings
- Regular email correspondence and formal communication regards the project to various stakeholders

About you
To be successful in this role, you must have:

- Previous experience in a project management or any similar role, within a large organisation
- Understanding of project management methodologies, reporting and risk assessment
- Flexible approach to work, and able to work in fast paced ever changing environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
- Excellent problem-solving and high attention to detail skills
- IT proficient, and able to upskill in new platforms and applications as required
- Background in disability, social services, or public sector would be desirable

Benefits

- 12-month temporary assignment
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- $60.26 per hour + super
- Immediate start pending clearances
- Geelong location + hybrid working arrangements available
