Water Quality Engineer

The role You will provide operations and technical support in water to Operations teams in both Australia and New Zealand.
You will lead significant projects related to invoice production, data analysis, water quality analysis and reporting, plant commissioning, systems support, and project coordination.
This role will also involve providing leadership to the Operations Support Engineer (or Graduate) within the Water Quality team.
This position can be based in either Townsville, QLD, or Macarthur, NSW.
Key responsibilities Provide technical input and support for drinking water and wastewater operations Lead investigations and technical assessments into water treatment, wastewater treatment, membrane processes, and water quality optimization Manage projects related to drinking water, wastewater, and recycled water quality Assist with plant commissioning and operations Drive process, chemical, and energy optimization initiatives Develop, review, and maintain water quality programs Assist with water quality data management and analysis Liaise with external labs and handle water quality inquiries from stakeholders Provide advice on risk management plans and water-related incidents Adhere to TRILITY's quality assurance and health and safety requirements Perform other duties as directed by the Water Quality Manager What we are looking for Experience with drinking water technologies and processes, systems analysis, and management (desirable)Tertiary qualifications in science or engineering Operational or design experience in drinking water and membrane processes (desirable)Knowledge of ADWG, AGWR, and EPA guidelines Extensive experience in water risk management systems Leadership experience in solving engineering or water quality problems Strong client management, project management, and technical delivery skills Experience with design tools (P&IDs, PFDs) and modeling software (BIOWIN, MEDLI, AUTOCAD, VISIO)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Good communication skills, both written and oral Ability to produce high-quality reports and data analyses Strong problem-solving and investigative skills Customer-focused with the ability to build trust with clients Willingness to work away from home regularly Why TRILITY?TRILITY is a leader in water, wastewater, and reuse solutions across New Zealand and Australia, with over 25 years of experience serving public and private sectors.
