The Star Brisbane is Australia's newest entertainment hub at the heart of the Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct.
The first phase is now open, offering new dining, bars, entertainment options, a five-star hotel, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.
This project has transformed Brisbane, redefining how people play, shop, and socialise in the city.
The successful applicant will be dynamic, well presented, proactive, and passionate about the events industry.
You will supervise a large team of food & beverage attendants, assist in training alongside our Event Captains, and collaborate with the Floor Manager to enhance guest experience.
Responsibilities include: Supervise team members and assist with people planning, including training food & beverage attendants.
Promote positive relationships between the Event Services department and other departments.
Ensure events meet client briefs provided by the Sales team.
Communicate policies and procedures to staff to maintain operation and service standards.
Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Report faults, repairs, and maintenance needs promptly.
Monitor team members' grooming to ensure professional appearance.
Qualifications and Experience:2+ years supervisory experience in food service or events preferred.
Passion for events and experience managing medium-scale events.
Effective communication skills with diverse guests and staff.
Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Experience managing labor and stock control.
Knowledge of venue financials.
