About the Role Join our Graduate Program as a Graduate Consultant in our Employment & Expatriate Tax team, starting January 2026Our team supports clients with employer obligations, including employment tax compliance and consulting (FBT, superannuation, payroll tax, Work Cover, PAYG).
We also help clients ensure correct employee payments by building effective processes and systems.
What you'll do As a Graduate Consultant in our Global Expatriate & Employment Taxes team, starting immediately or January 2026, you will: Attend meetings with Japanese corporate clients and expatriate employee briefings Conduct research and draft advice Prepare Australian tax returns for Japanese expatriate employees Review and lodge FBT returns during compliance periods (May and June) and handle ad hoc FBT compliance Participate in pay compliance projects, including reviewing industrial instruments and payroll data analysis Liaise with regulators (ATO, state revenue authorities)Support our Japan Practice Lead Partner in various activities (client seminars, newsletters, etc.)What you'll get12-month learning and development program Support from your buddy and manager Service line-specific training aligned with career pathways Social activities with your cohort and the wider firm Benefits such as free breakfast, healthy snacks, and casual dress A culture of opportunity, connection, community, and impact Global opportunities across 166 countries Eligibility To qualify, you should: Be in your final year or have recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business, or related fields Possess fluent Japanese (native level) language skills Understand Japanese corporate culture, preferably with experience working in Japan Be eligible for postgraduate studies (CA/CPA, CFA)Be available to start in January 2026 How to Apply Click on your preferred program and location, then click 'Apply' to create your Workday account.
