Overview Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) – Palliative Care, Permanent Part Time position at NSW Health.
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time, 24 hours per week.
Location: Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.
Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2.
Remuneration: $57.11 - $58.99 per hour.
Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, quality, person-centred specialist care in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
Deliver complex care in the relevant field, using critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practices.
Lead and mentor staff, promote evidence-based practice, and support education initiatives to improve quality and safety in palliative care.
Assist in symptom management, psychosocial support, and end-of-life care coordination as part of collaborative care planning.

This role supports ongoing improvement through involvement in a major redevelopment project and a commitment to innovation and excellence.
Qualifications Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and post‑registration qualifications with at least 3 years' experience in the clinical area.
Demonstrated experience providing complex care in the relevant field.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and respond to care needs.
Demonstrated evidence of critical thinking in the delivery of advanced, evidence-based nursing care.
Ability to provide safe, compassionate, high-quality care that is culturally responsive.
