We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer with an interest in structural engineering to join our high-performing team.
This is a unique opportunity to work on both the mechanical systems and the structural integrity of plant equipment, infrastructure, and shutdown projects in the mining and resources sector.
This is a full-time role based in Port Pirie, South Australia, on a Mon-Fri roster with relocation support available.
You'll gain practical experience in : Analyzing and assessing plant equipment and structural components.
Designing modifications to optimize existing mechanical and structural systems.
Assisting in the design and coordination of new equipment installations, including load-bearing supports, platforms, and foundations.
Supporting shutdown planning — including developing detailed work packs, schedules, and cost estimates.
Preparing technical specifications for tendering, reviewing supplier proposals, and supporting contract awards.
Collaborating with experienced engineers on troubleshooting and problem-solving for mechanical and structural challenges.

You will learn how to integrate safety and environmental requirements into all designs, plans, and procedures, contributing to a safe, reliable, and efficient workplace.
We're looking for a graduate who : Holds (or is about to complete) a degree in Mechanical Engineering — with an interest in or exposure to structural engineering principles.
Has strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Is proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with project planning tools (experience with Microsoft Project is a plus).
Has some exposure to CAD software (Auto CAD experience desirable).
Is eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to work in a dynamic industrial environment.
