Job Description

AECOM has a unique opportunity for an administration assistant to provide support to our Water & Civil group in Brisbane. This is a dynamic role where no two days will be the same. We are looking for someone who will take on this role and grow with it and really be a part of the team.

The Brisbane Water & Civil group consists of over 150 people who work with private and public sector clients to deliver projects. Working alongside the senior administrator, you will provide project support, administration, and coordination to the team, ensuring smooth and effective operations.

What will a day in this role may look like:

  • Schedule meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Assist with arranging group events and meetings, both internal and external, from ordering catering, agenda creation, minute taking (where required) to room / venue set up.
  • Assisting with compiling professional documents and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Help with the on-boarding of new employees including systems, policies & procedures.
  • Collaborating with other teams within broader AECOM such as the office administration support network, finance, facilities, safety & IT to expedite business needs for individuals & teams.
  • Assisting with projects where needed to manage and coordinate processes from concept to completion & liaising with stakeholders on behalf of the project team to support the effective delivery.

This is a varied role which would suit someone who is pro-active, keen to take on new challenges and enjoys working within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and an ability to build relationships.
  • A can-do attitude along with a flexible and friendly approach
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and the ability to pick up new systems
  • A pro-active team player, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to use initiative to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
