What you'll do:

  • Preparation of accounting journals and assistance with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assistance with the monthly payroll process and year-end closing processes
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
  • Processing incoming invoices, maintaining up-to-date vendor records and reconciling vendor statements
  • Assisting with the preparation of payment batches and executing payment runs
  • Supporting the month-end closing process by ensuring all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded
  • Maintaining an organised filing system for all financial documents

What you bring:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles with an eagerness to learn
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); familiarity with any accounting software is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Motivated individual with a positive attitude and desire to develop professionally in the field of accounting
