The position of Battery Energy Storage Systems Field Service Engineer will be part of the growing Field Service Delivery Team within the Energy Business – Energy Storage & Optimization, Lifecycle Services. The suitable applicant should have a solid understanding of electrical engineering, project management, construction principles and experience in high power electrical systems.
The Role:
This role is a full time, long term contract based in Adelaide, site location is 30 minutes North West of the CBD. Working hours Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm
Perform field service activities according to the agreement needs and work plan. Support on commission of stationary battery energy storage systems and related equipment.Solve technical and operational problems at customer installations. Report and propose product improvement needs to reach quality and cost targets, ensure customer satisfaction. Manage and maintain good relationships with the customer.Prepare and present analytical reports with adequate conclusions and recommendations to solve technical problems of the customer as required. Participate in customer meetings as a local technical advisor.Create service work reports and other relevant documentation related to site or customer visits. Be on service jobs about 50% minimum of the year. About you: Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experienceValid A Class local electrical licence (essential).2+ years experience with energy storage systems and/or renewable (solar) energy, high power systems design (LV - HV) and communication networks (essential) In-depth knowledge of: PV Systems OPC systems Variable frequency drives Battery and inverter technologyWindows server and UNIX/LINUX PLC systemsIndustrial networks and protocols (Modbus TCP, Profibus, CAN-bus, CIP, ethernet/IP, ControlNET, etc.)Advance programming of firewalls and routersProtection relaysFamiliar with NEMA and IP enclosure designsDetail oriented with a project management mindset Good collaboration skills Excellent report writing skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Commissioning experienceCurrent Drivers LicenceMust be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen What we offer: Be part of a global organisation with local presenceSupportive and dynamic team environment with highly motivated and skilled co-workersThe job offers interesting and challenging work tasks Training and development offeredCompetitive salary and car allowanceIf this sounds like you or someone you know, don't hesitate to get in contact.
