We are working with one of Australia's Big4 banks looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join Sydney based Payment Systems program in a full time position.
All About the role
The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for delivering effective solutions and business processes to provide BAU and project support for customer's requirements and objectives.
In addition to this, you will be required to assist with system enhancements on time that fully meet customer requirements and ensure system enhancement analysis, development and process is delivered as per Business requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Constructively challenging the status quo to develop solutions and resolve issues.In some instances, assisting in the delivery of quality sustainable development solutions for projects and/or enhancements, in line with the broader business and technology strategies.Conducting system maintenance, including implementation of business recovery, disaster recovery and continuity plans, to deliver system availability, reliability, stability, currency, and recoverability of applications to meet agreed service levels.Conducting resolution of incidents and problems to ensure systems operate as required.Participating in 24/7 on-call rosters to provide immediate application support in the event of a service disruption or issue and enable the achievement of service availability and service level requirements.Mentoring and supporting an analyst team and/or analyst team member(s) in accordance with people principles and processes. Participating in ongoing team training to maintain, refresh, and establish new support skill sets. What do you need to be a good fit? To be successful in this role, you will need excellent verbal communication skills, a customer focused mindset and be self-driven. In addition to this, your skills may include: At least 5 years in a technology development or Technology support role (s) such as Technology Production Support, or in Software Development.Expert knowledge of UNIX commands & shell scripting and/or constructing Splunk queries.Experience in Monitoring & Health-Check of UNIX based environments including Oracle database/IBM MQ Series.Support of Prod/non-Prod environments on High Availability and Disaster Recovery.Experience in Incident, Problem and Change Management.Experience managing and maintaining operational and support documentation.Availability for on-call requirement once in every four weeks.If this sounds like your next role - Please apply for the role/ email me on At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
