About the Role Reporting to the Customs Broker Manager, you will be assigned to a few major Key Accounts performing and facilitating all essential Australian Border Force (ABF) and Department of Agriculture, Water & the Environment (DAWE) requirements to achieve Business and Budget Plans and related matters. Your duties will include: Execute necessary ABF related matters including Customs clearances, duty rates, refunds, drawbacks, etc;Fulfill necessary DAWE related matters, arranging biosecurity directions, etc;Maintain job book‐up and invoicing where applicable;Compile, classify and data entry, including rectifying any air/sea cargo automation problemsLiaise with clients to answer relevant queries and rectify problems;Examine weekly incoming ediTariff tariff codes and advises Management accordingly regarding relevant changes;Training of staff requiring further knowledge of the Customs function;Liaise with management regarding processes to ensure positive achievement of appointed objectives; The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes: You will be licensed as a Customs BrokerYou will have 7-10 years experience in a similar role, with experience working for an SMEYou will have a deep understanding of the industry and be able to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.You are a skilled communicator and collaborator, able to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
