    About the Role

    Reporting to the Customs Broker Manager, you will be assigned to a few major Key Accounts performing and facilitating all essential Australian Border Force (ABF) and Department of Agriculture, Water & the Environment (DAWE) requirements to achieve Business and Budget Plans and related matters.

    Your duties will include:

    • Execute necessary ABF related matters including Customs clearances, duty rates, refunds, drawbacks, etc;
    • Fulfill necessary DAWE related matters, arranging biosecurity directions, etc;
    • Maintain job bookâup and invoicing where applicable;
    • Compile, classify and data entry, including rectifying any air/sea cargo automation problems
    • Liaise with clients to answer relevant queries and rectify problems;
    • Examine weekly incoming ediTariff tariff codes and advises Management accordingly regarding relevant changes;
    • Training of staff requiring further knowledge of the Customs function;
    • Liaise with management regarding processes to ensure positive achievement of appointed objectives;

      The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

      • You will be licensed as a Customs Broker
      • You will have 7-10 years experience in a similar role, with experience working for an SME
      • You will have a deep understanding of the industry and be able to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
      • You are a skilled communicator and collaborator, able to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
