You will need to be confident in preparing up to 3 meals per day for a large number of children. In addition to cooking, your knowledge may be required in aspects of menu planning and nutrition guidance support the health and well-being of children through planning and preparing nutritious food.

In this role your main objectives will be to:

Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergiesUse your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre DirectorMaintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienicWork a part time roster of 25 hours per week (5 hours daily from Monday to Friday), no night shifts, no split shifts and no weekend work You'll need: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare settingCurrent Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)This role offers above award rates, discounted childcare, additional leave options and well being days.
