Job Description

Work as a trusted adviser and business partner to help our clients grow and manage their businesses. As a Senior Consultant, your focus will be on supporting business development and working as part of a team on a wide variety of complex projects, such as financial modeling, insurance data analytics, mergers and acquisitions, and other traditional actuarial work for clients in the insurance industry. Leverage our technical and practical insurance experience to deliver business solutions to clients.

The Role
  • Participate in business development activities across all areas of expertise
  • Work with the team in developing go-to-market propositions
  • Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients
  • Draft statements of work, project plans, and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams
  • Serve as the day-to-day project lead, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables, and quality standards
  • Serve as the primary daily contact for clients on the delivery of services
  • Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues with Senior Leaders and Client Relationship Managers
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary consulting or joint client-consultant team to analyze issues and develop value-added solutions
  • Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client's broader business issues
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Life and Health Insurance industry in the Southeast Asia markets
  • Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by drafting proposals and responding to RFPs
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Serve as a mentor to project team associates
Qualifications

The Requirements
  • Strong client relationship, interpersonal, and team skills
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter attitude and the ability to work with ambiguity
  • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Strong analytical and creative skills
  • The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address clients' business challenges
  • Proven life or health insurance experience in a consulting firm, financial services organization, or insurance firm
  • Qualified or near-qualified actuary
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with regulations in Australia
  • A track record of performing life insurance work as well as the ability to contribute to cross-practice client engagements
  • Experience in successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
