About the opportunity
The incumbent in this role leads and manages the provision of medical services in accordance with the standard of the specialty and the ethics of the profession in a hospital, and outreach setting. Providing high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients/clients of our health service. This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.
Extensive experience in Echo and formal Fellowship will be an advantage.
What's on offer?
Remuneration package of up to $418,118 p.a., comprising base salary range of $ $124.05 p.h. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (L18-L27), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%)., attraction and retention incentive allowance, regional and rural attraction allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance and leave, private practice arrangements, communications package, professional indemnity cover and inaccessibility allowance (if applicable).
Other employment benefits include: salary sacrificing options, on-call and shift allowances (if applicable), flexible working arrangements, employee wellness programs, and access to corporate discounts. Assistance with relocation expenses may also be available.
Eligible health workers who move to Queensland from interstate or international jurisdictions to take up permanent employment may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme.
Role requirements
Possession of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) qualifications (or equivalent).Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Advanced clinical experience in Cardiology, expertise in echocardiography including transthoracic echo, Transesophageal echo, Stress echocardiography and 3D Echocardiography.
