Role Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for successfully delivering projects from pre-construction through to defect liability and handover. You will ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with building specifications, standards, and specific contractual requirements. Key responsibilities include managing tender interviews, subcontractor negotiations, implementing project delivery systems, and managing WHS&E responsibilities for the project(s). Additionally, you will manage the financial responsibility of the project, generate construction programs, and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard of client satisfaction and quality.

Ideal Experience:

Experience working for a principal contractor in a similar roleStrong financial acumen and communication skillsAbility to build and maintain effective relationshipsExcellent ability to lead and motivate people and manage and develop performanceStrong understanding of project management within the building and construction industry. Skills and Qualifications: Construction or building-related degree or diplomaUnderstanding of specifications and drawings for accuracy and build abilityExcellent knowledge of WHS&E principlesAble to work with minimal supervisionGreat time managementPossess confidence to deal with strong personalities and diverse situations, particularly on work sitesVery strong leadership and able to provide mentoring to all project staffExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Organised and efficientHigh levels of flexibility and ability to manage under pressure.
