My client is a sub-contractor specialising in commercial ceilings and walls. They have been steadily growing with a healthy pipeline of repeat business from a large number of well known commercial head contractors. They have a strong reputation in the market due to the high quality project they deliver.
The Role
Manage and oversee all aspects of ceiling and wall installations in commercial projects.Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design specifications and project requirements are met.Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of ceiling and wall installations.Monitor and control project budgets, including material costs and labour expenses.Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.Source and manage suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services related to ceilings and walls.Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project, ensuring minimal disruption.Ensure all installations meet building codes, regulations, and client requirements.Maintain accurate project records, including plans, changes, and progress reports.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns or modifications.Supervise and direct project teams, including subcontractors and installation crews, to ensure efficient and effective work performance. The Candidate Proven experience in project management specialising in ceiling and wall installations for commercial projects.Strong understanding of ceiling and wall systems, including installation techniques, materials, and industry standards.Degree or relevant certification in Construction Management, Building Services, or a related field.Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.In-depth knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve project issues promptly.Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams.Proven leadership skills to supervise and motivate project teams and subcontractors.Exceptional organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.High attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in all project aspects.Proficiency in project management software and tools related to ceiling and wall installations.Ability to understand and meet client requirements and expectations effectively.
