Project Overview:

We are currently collaborating with a renowned financial services institution in Australia utilizing Calypso V16 as a front to back office system for Fixed income and IR derivatives business. Your role will involve enhancing their global end-of-day process, improving market data solutions, and coordinating with all upstream/downstream interfaces. This opportunity allows capital markets Business Analysts/Project Managers to showcase their expertise in a challenging multi-year project, gain a comprehensive understanding of the EOD process for a global financial entity, and engage with various modules in Calypso as a trading and collateral system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of BA/QA dedicated to implementing a global EOD process to replace existing region-specific processes.
  • Develop critical path and optimize EOD scheduling tools, liaising with stakeholders from Product Control, Risk, and Regulatory platforms.
  • Take charge of project initiation, planning, delivery, and implementation, utilizing available resources efficiently to ensure timely delivery and meet quality standards.
  • Identify and address risks and issues, proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrate excellent commercial acumen, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Provide project progress updates and status reports to Executive-level stakeholders.
  • Determine and plan resource requirements to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage stakeholders' expectations throughout the program.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital markets, with a focus on trading, risk, and accounting.
  • Previous experience driving major projects involving trading or risk platforms such as Calypso, Murex in SME or Delivery lead roles.
  • Familiarity with batch scheduling tools like Autosys, Ctrl-M.
  • Excellent understanding of Trade life cycle, pricing, and settlement of OTC derivative products like IRD, Fixed Income, and Money market.
  • Proficient in documenting/managing business requirements using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Rally, and similar platforms.
  • Expertise in estimations, scheduling, and sprint planning in collaboration with release train engineers.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Prior experience in large programs involving multiple initiatives/projects, comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a knack for problem-solving, adaptability, and embracing change in a dynamic setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in utilizing Calypso as a trading/collateral platform.
  • Knowledge or experience in accounting and product control processes.
  • Familiarity with market data management tools like Golden source.
  • Experience in working with or leading support teams to monitor EOD batch and resolve any arising issues.
