This permanent full-time position is a newly created role for a Fleet Asset Manager within a large government organisation in the Western Australian market.

About the role:

Randstad is currently searching for a Fleet Asset Manager on behalf of one of our clients located in the CBD. The role involves overseeing fleet contracts, procurement, category management, and project management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage strategic medium to high risk procurement projects for fleet and services.Research, analyses and review fleet management issues.Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and supervise staff.Provide a range of project management services to contribute to the development and delivery of fleet, plant and equipment. Ensuring project obligations are met so that work is completed on time and according to budget.Procurement and disposal of fleet.Providing a high level of stakeholder engagement with internal customers, and demonstrating superior relationship management and influencing skills with internal and external parties.Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and supervise staff.Work closely with project managers and corporate team members. Key requirements include: Extensive experience in Fleet or Category Management in a procurement environment.Tertiary qualifications (in conjunction with relevant experience) in procurement, business management, commerce or similar will be highly regarded.Full ongoing working rights in Australia. Outstanding verbal and written communication.Strong skills in research and analysis, able to simplify complex information for practical use.
