Being a senior leader within the organisation, the role provides essential direction and guidance to stakeholders, senior leaders, and executive teams. Additionally, you take ownership over the development of a capital works program that ensures flood risks and opportunities are managed to reduce impacts and get the best social, economic, and environmental outcomes.
Key individual accountabilities:
Drive the development of 5-10 year plans for flood and drainage services including capital, non-asset and maintenance programs for flood mitigation assets.Be the dedicated liaison point to negotiate with partners on the project's flood mitigation program to enable the organisation's contribution to delivering the Development Contributions Plan for the precinct.Engage with multiple managers across the asset life-cycle on competing priorities to reach consensus within the program and projects.Develop and maintain strong internal networks within the organisation and key industry relationships across local government, consultants and universities.Participate in and support leading a cross-organisational team and governance model for programs and projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or related technical discipline.A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.Demonstrated experience managing flood infrastructure projectsExcellent stakeholder engagement skills and proven experience building industry partnerships.Strong influencing skills and proven ability to resolve complex issues.
