The Opportunity

A new opportunity has emerged for a Data Analytical / Inventory Officer to join a global manufacturing company renowned for its commitment to quality in Australian manufacturing and logistics. In this role, you will work in a collaborative team, ensuring accurate inventory management and troubleshooting stock flow issues. This position offers full-time, permanent employment opportunities and will look favourably on candidates who are organised, competent with software systems (ERP & Excel), and proficient in analysing data.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and improve inventory accuracy to meet planned sales levels and business objectivesCollaborate with all departments to identify and implement improvements in inventory accuracy and levelsContinuously improve systems, processes, and activities in inventory management, focusing on customer satisfactionDevelop and implement strategies for efficient inventory managementConduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile with recordsManage cycle counters, identify root causes of discrepancies, and implement countermeasuresEnsure ERP systems accurately reflect stock on handReconcile inventory in transit, including overseas warehouses, local warehouses, and the plantConduct regular inventory counting and stocktakesAid in reconciliation processes and troubleshoot problems effectivelyOversee stock movements within the plant, investigate discrepancies, and address negative inventory issues promptlyUtilise analytical skills to ensure the accuracy and quantity of inventory on handCollaborate with procurement and planning teams to address inventory-related issuesCoordinate with warehouse team for incoming stock managementManage a small team with 2 direct reports Selection Criteria Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or Logistics/Material ManagementDemonstrated experience working in ManufacturingAdvanced knowledge in modern ERP systems & ExcelStrong analytical abilities with a keen focus on accuracy and detailExcellent written and verbal communication capabilitiesConfidence in using own initiative to solve problems How to Apply To apply for this opportunity, please submit your CV via the link or call Randstad's Procurement & Supply Chain specialists, Bridie Taglienti or Rachel Homer on If this is not the role for you but you are interested in hearing about further opportunities about positions within procurement, contracts and supply chain, please feel welcome to connect either on LinkedIn or call for a confidential discussion.
