Overview:

The Senior Financial Accountant, Group Finance is responsible for consolidating entries and accounting balances to produce Link Group's financial statements without audit adjustments. The role includes translating foreign subsidiary financial statements accurately and ensuring correct accounting for various transactions.


Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:

  • Record all consolidation and elimination entries in the relevant ledger / financial reporting system, including inter-group trading elimination
  • Accurately translate foreign subsidiary financial statements into functional and reporting currencies
  • Account for interest-bearing liabilities and financing costs in the legal entity's ledger
  • Handle transactions impacting various Link Group entities
  • Process equity accounting entries for investments in associates
  • Ensure timely consolidation of financial reports
  • Liaise with auditors and internal parties for accurate reporting
  • Assist in providing financial information and managing staff
  • Support in accounting for significant transactions and financial reporting processes
  • Drive process improvement and enhance management information quality

Experience & Personal Attributes:

  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience in a commercial setting
  • Experience in group reporting and consolidation
  • CA/CPA qualified with Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • Good understanding of International and Australian Accounting Standards
  • Experience with large ERP and reporting systems
  • Experience with large corporate structures and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial focus and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and numerate skills
  • Flexible, responsive, and deadline-oriented
