As a Financial Accountant in the manufacturing industry, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis. Working closely with the finance team and cross-functional partners, you will ensure compliance with accounting standards, drive process improvements, and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Our client is a US based manufacturing organisation specialised in manufacturing electrical and infrastructure products. They strive to be at the forefront of technological advancements, driving positive change in the manufacturing landscape while exceeding the expectations of their customers and stakeholders.

Description

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Month-End Close: Coordinate the month-end close process, reconciling accounts, analysing variances, and preparing journal entries to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Cost Accounting: Manage and analyse manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, and overhead, to support cost optimisation and profitability analysis.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting processes, including valuation, obsolescence, and inventory reserves, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Working towards CA/CPA.
  • 2-3 years of experience as an Assistant Accountant.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP is preferable but not necessary.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Concur/ SAP).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
