About The Job

This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing ASX-listed fintech, focusing on managing Media Relations end-to-end within the company. You will play a crucial role in sharing the Wisr story and strategically positioning the company with relevant media stakeholders as part of a broader media relations strategy.

This position is essential in our Media, Communications, and Brand team, serving as a trusted advisor to the Executive team by offering insights on Media Relations strategies, initiatives, and potential challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and executing Wisr's external communications strategy
  • Managing the media office across various sectors such as consumer, business, and investor, including media partnership arrangements
  • Developing media and ASX reporting materials like ASX results, announcements, media releases, investor materials, and other collateral
  • Identifying and managing speaking, presentation, and awards opportunities for company leaders and business units
  • Building strong relationships with media, journalists, producers, and key industry groups
  • Conducting media briefings, spokespeople training, and preparing executive stakeholders and customers for media interactions
  • Handling issues as necessary
  • Reporting on media coverage and activities
About You

You are a confident and experienced Media Relations and Communications professional with a solid background in a similar role, either in-house with an ASX-listed company or in an agency setting. You excel in communication, establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.

You enjoy owning the media relations and communications function, proactively identifying growth opportunities for the company and demonstrating the value of media relations to the broader business. By leveraging your current and future media relationships, you excel in enhancing company recognition and understanding across all platforms.

What You'll Bring:
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with senior executives and external stakeholders
  • Extensive experience, ideally in an ASX-listed company or a similar environment
  • Excellent project management skills, handling multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong written communication skills for short-form and long-form content
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, advantageous for simplifying complex information into digestible content
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Strong existing media relationships and the ability to foster Wisr's current connections
