What you'll do:

As a Procurement Manager in the finance sector, you will play a pivotal role in leading strategic procurement initiatives. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for cost savings, developing procurement strategies for strategic contracts, and negotiating contract terms. Your ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders will be crucial in ensuring the success of these initiatives. Furthermore, your expertise in procurement will be utilised to provide guidance and education across the organisation.

  • Identify and collaborate with key stakeholders, internal customers and suppliers to ensure quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop the procurement strategy for strategic contracts within Claims.
  • Quantify, agree and facilitate the verification of cost saves.
  • Provide specialist procurement expertise as necessary in addition to commercial rigour, advanced sourcing techniques and bench marking.
  • Negotiate and execute extensions, variations and terminations of major legal instruments to meet business needs.
  • Resolve strategic contract supplier disputes.
  • Develop collaborative supplier relationships which produce additional value.
  • Support and encourage key stakeholders to raise the level of awareness and education across Claims on Procurement expertise, policies and procedures.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Procurement Manager role brings a wealth of experience in procurement within large organisations with complex environments. With over 10 year's experience in the field, you have honed your skills in managing teams and delivering quality outputs within tight time frames. Your background may include experience in Claims (Insurance) procurement. A tertiary education focused on Procurement & Supply Chain or a related field is highly desirable. Your ability to navigate complex environments and deliver results will be key to your success in this role.

  • Tertiary education with a focus on Procurement & Supply Chain or an Information Technology, Legal, Business or Commerce related degree is highly desirable.
  • Experienced procurement professional with 10 + year's experience in procurement.
  • Experience in Claims (Insurance) procurement 5+ years is desired.
  • Experience in managing a team 5+ years is desired.
  • Experience in large organisations with complex environments is mandatory.
  • Experience in delivering quality outputs within tight time frames within a standardised project management framework is mandatory.
