The role
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technical Manager to lead our NSW construction materials laboratory.

You will be responsible for overseeing the performance of our laboratory and providing technical support to our concrete and quarry operations across NSW.

This role is primarily located at our site in Moorebank, with travel required across our NSW sites.

You will receive a fully maintained company vehicle & competitive remuneration.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the NSW laboratory construction materials testing operations
  • Reviewing specifications, analysing test data, optimising and maintaining mix designs
  • Running regular analysis of raw materials and final product testing
  • Ensuring that product specifications are met whilst controlling manufacturing costs
  • Managing product quality and compliance to specifications and standards
  • Providing technical assistance, education and advice within the Hy-Tec business and to clients
  • Assisting with the development of concrete mixes and development of quarry product range
  • Maintaining laboratory NATA accreditation and quality compliance to ISO9001 for the manufacture of concrete and quarry products

What you will need to succeed

  • 5+ years' experience in construction materials testing
  • Strong leadership attributes including good people management skills, passion and drive to mentor and develop staff, and good emotional intelligence
  • NATA Signatory with a high level of competence and understanding of AS/ TfNSW standards and knowledge of NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or science being an advantage
  • Strong customer service skills with customers and suppliers
  • Collaborative and Innovative problemsolving abilities
  • Strong commercial ability to recognise, raise and manage the financial and contractual impacts of productrelated decisions and issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Competency in Command software (for concrete production)
  • Competency with relevant technical systems
  • QestMix, QestLab
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
