About the Branch:


Join the ePMO and Governance Branch of a small Federal Government Agency that supports this agency to have the structures, processes, people, and systems to manage, oversee and support the effective resourcing and delivery of successful projects.

It includes the ability to coordinate, execute, direct, support, and oversee the implementation of multiple related projects to deliver outcomes, change, and benefits aligned with strategic objectives

About the vacancies (EL1 and EL2):

The team is seeking an EL1 initially to join their team for a 6-month period as they commence their work on various large and complex projects.

The need for an EL1 is due to the high demand in workload in early 2023. There is potential for an extension as they envision projects to run for up to two years.

Some key areas of focus will be:

  • Business strategy review
  • Budget reset
  • Overhaul of performance in their joint projects and programs
  • Liaising with state government on complex matters
  • Leaning on internal resources whilst guiding them on new strategies

Key and Desirable skills:

  • Previous experience in Federal Government in Project or Program Management at the EL1 or EL2 level is essential
  • Familiar with communicating with broad and complex stakeholders
  • Those with project qualifications will be highly considered, however not essential
  • Previous experience working on a budget review or financially driven projects is highly desirable
  • Previous knowledge in the Infrastructure/Capital Works industry is desirable due to technical language and SME engagement
