Community Health Team Leader, Cassowary Area Community Health, Rural and Remote Services - Innisfail Cassowary Area Community Health, part of the Cairns & Hinterland Hospital & Health Services (CHHHS) is situated in Far North Queensland and provides health services to an estimated population of 35,000 people.
The Cassowary Coast Regional Council and the southern portion of the Cairns City Council fall within the Cassowary Hub boundary.
Major towns within the area are Babinda, Innisfail, and Tully.The Cassowary Area Community Health also operates from Jumbun and Mission Beach.
The position will work across the Cassowary Hub.

About you:
In your new role you will...Demonstrate high level operational management skills within a multi-disciplinary team comprised of nursing, allied health, and administrative personnel.
Demonstrate leadership and proven experience in strategic planning, workforce development, service evaluation and models of care analysis across the health continuum.
Demonstrate sound knowledge and the ability to apply contemporary Human Resource Management practice at the broad and specific level, with reference to workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti-discrimination.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will provide quality leadership, governance and strategic planning of services delivered by the Cassowary Area Community Health with an emphasis on safe, quality, cost-effective, evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary environment.
The successful applicant will manage all aspects of operational performance including human, financial and technical resources ensuring alignment with Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service directions, standards, and plans.
About your role:
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team that delivers community based post-acute, chronic disease and rehabilitation services to clients of CHHHS and Cassowary Area Health Service.
Provide leadership to effectively plan, manage and evaluate community health services to achieve organisational goals across the service.Effectively manage self and collaborate with professional resources within the Division and HHS, to develop staff to enable fulfilment of role responsibilities and portfolios.
