About the role


We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Case Worker to provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment.

You will successfully

  • Develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.
  • Assess and mitigate client and program risk in accordance with TSA policy and procedures.
  • Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of highquality services.
  • Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for clients.
This is a permanent, fulltime position located in Maroubra, NSW. Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 4

You will have

  • Minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).
  • Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).
  • Current Drivers licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising deescalation techniques.
  • Comply with The Salvation Army Organisational Code of Conduct which includes an alcohol, gambling and drug free workplace
  • First aid certificate.
  • Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.
  • Ability to develop and tailor programs to meet client's needs.
  • Seeks new ideas, embraces new opportunities and adapts to change.
  • A current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
