We have a great opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to contribute to the transformation of a major retailer going through change.

We are seeking a talented individual on a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead on several indirects projects, including IT and the implementation of a P2P tools as they navigate this exciting time.

As the Sourcing Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping of their indirects contracts as they decouple and become their own entity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to identify sourcing needs and develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy tailored to the demerger process.
  • Lead endtoend procurement activities for contracts, ensuring best value, timely delivery, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective procurement strategies, considering both shortterm goals and longterm sustainability.
  • Drive vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship management, while striving to achieve optimal terms and conditions for the organization.
  • Oversee the implementation of ProcuretoPay (P2P) software, working alongside IT teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all contracts adhere to relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably in a retail, FMCG or banking environment (advantageous).
  • Experience working through a demerger (advantageous)
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successfully managing and optimizing IT contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
  • Experience in navigating complex organizational structures and managing change effectively.
