MEX Digital is currently seeking a skilled Finance professional to oversee financial matters for its operations in Australia and UAE. This role requires a versatile individual to supervise financial operations, including financial and management reporting, fixed assets management, accounts payable and receivable, banking, and payroll. The ideal candidate should have cryptocurrency experience and be ready to dive into action immediately.

The selected candidate will collaborate with the CFO and other stakeholders, providing financial assessments and information to support corporate goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collect financial and accounting information and prepare budgets, reports, and financial statements.
  • Manage payroll, including related payment obligations and reconciliations.
  • Conduct reconciliations for various accounts, including bank, payment merchant, and client funds.
  • Review general ledgers and perform monthly reconciliations for data accuracy.
  • Handle accounts payable/receivable and maintain the fixed assets register.
  • Coordinate the annual audit process and collaborate with tax consultants for timely tax submissions.
  • Administer control activities like expense control and oversee contract and insurance matters.
  • Manage banking and merchant facilities, process online payments, and approve corporate transactions.
  • Support trading client-related treasury and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with Group reporting and stakeholders for strategic and operational support.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting for group entities.
  • Assist in enhancing business systems and processes.
  • Represent the organization in dealings with various parties.
  • Fulfill any ad-hoc financial reporting requests.
  • Require 4+ years of accounting experience in the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Possess experience in ASIC & AUSTRAC regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in accounting software and management systems.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Display integrity, strategic finance mindset, and strong communication skills.
