One of our clients, a local council near Plenty, is looking for a Transfer Station Attendant to join their passionate team.

This Job is a casual role however you will be working 38 hours per week.

Your shift will start at 7.45am and finish at 4.30pm

Pay Rate:
$33.65 per hour + Superannuation.

You will Need:

Valid Australian car licence.

Backhoe licence.

Forklift licence.

Demonstrated experience in a broader range of waste management operations.

Experience and knowledge of best practice in management and operations of transfer stations.

Demonstrated ability to operate backhoe plant and equipment in accordance with site safety procedures and policies.

Understanding of waste transfer station operation including recycling and waste management activities to minimise environmental impacts.


The ability to ensure dealings with the public are undertaken in courteous manner and promote and maintain a positive public image.


You will be:

Operating Council's Recycling Centre in accordance with operational and safety procedures.

Ensuring that high quality customer service information is provided to the public.


Maximise the diversion of waste to the appropriate recycling stream including assisting in developing new recycling streams and undertaking active recovery of recyclable materials.

Assisting with minor maintenance tasks in the Operations Centre wash bay maintenance and other tasks as directed.

Please Note - a Police Check, WWCC and Covid Vaccination status will all need to be obtained upon placement.
