About the position

The position of the Sustainability & Planning Engagement Officer is available due to advancements and promotions within the team.

The position coordinates and contributes to programs which promote sustainability leadership, encourages participation in environmental sustainability initiatives across campuses such as bikers' brekkies and volunteer planting programs, and supports consultation and engagement activities in sustainability and campus planning.


Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and interest in sustainability issues.
  • Demonstrable experience and/or clear capability in data collection, management and reporting.
  • A good understanding of key environmental and urban planning issues that are relevant and specific to La Trobe University.
