Our team oversees all these locations and collaborates closely with our business units, handling everything from site acquisition to asset management.

About the Role:

An exciting new position is available for a National Freehold Cost Manager to join our thriving property team in Victoria.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the National Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the costs of the National Freehold Development team to deliver new or enhanced Coles stores and mixed-use projects.

Your Duties:

• Establish frameworks, timelines, and ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting.
• Coordinate feasibility modeling for all development proposals for approval.
• Control project approvals, governance, and administrative processes.
• Develop and maintain contract documents for contractors and consultants.
• Summarize project reports from DMs into monthly summaries.
• Support the Freehold and Finance team with Estimating requirements.
• Manage and be accountable for forecasted and actual costs incurred in developments across the portfolio.

About You and Your Skills:

You should have experience as a Consultant/Quantity Surveyor or Analyst in property development or construction. Bring energy and innovative thinking to the table, providing valuable ideas for projects while staying updated on market conditions through benchmarking and competitor data. Your stakeholder management skills should be exceptional, navigating complex environments with a strong focus on commercial governance.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading teams and communicating with external parties.
  • Financial acumen and skills in managing cost plans for capital projects.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and consultant agreements.
  • Strong organization, planning, and attention to detail.
  • Financial knowledge for preparing and validating development feasibility models.
  • Understanding of BCA, Planning, and Legislative requirements for property projects.
