About the role:


Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Governance, this is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional to become part of a fast-paced, corporate team and make a difference.

The Communications Coordinator works to elevate and ensure consistency of organisational brand, reputation, and both internal and external messaging. The Coordinator provides timely advice to the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) on communication issues and opportunities.

This role is located in Brisbane. It will require infrequent travel to service sites to establish relationships, and to ensure a working knowledge of service environments

Key responsibilities:

  • Support Business Development Manager (BDM) to actively market our services to key referrers, and communities.
  • Support Recruitment Coordinator to ensure compliance maintenance of employee documents.
  • Generate and manage engaging high quality content across all platforms including website, social media development and publicity, media releases and social media.
  • Identify opportunities for regular staff engagement events and manage content, and event communications.
  • Develop internal channels of communication utilising existing Teams and Employment Hero Platforms.
  • Posting and management of training materials to Employment Hero.
  • Play key role in member retention through active and influential engagement delivering value for members.
  • Review, edit and valueadd to corporate documents to ensure a consistent standard across brand, tone, and language.
  • Management of the Policy Portal and tracked documents.
  • Contribute to development of the Marketing and Communication plan.
  • Implement the Marketing and Communication plan as part of the P&C.
  • Drive implementation of marketing campaigns/strategies.
  • Project management particularly of publications (digital and print) as well as webbased platforms including managing designers/production houses and other relevant partners.
  • Manage website and online presence demonstrating engagement using web analytics.
  • Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required. This may include short term backfill at short notice.

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism (or equivalent discipline) and experience in health portfolio.

Highly Desirable:

  • 3 5 years experience working in a communications role.
  • Strong digital and social media experience.
  • Inhouse experience highly valued
  • Experience with WordPress is highly regarded.
  • Advanced skills across Microsoft Office, the Adobe suite specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and video editing skills
  • Project management experience (particularly publications both hard copy and digital).

  • Ability to conceptualise and implement innovative marketing and communications activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team, juggle numerous projects and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience with automated marketing platforms and emarketing services such as MailChimp; in website management and in driving social media engagement.
  • Experience in content creation with strong design experience across platforms; aptitude for storytelling through the written word and video.
  • Genuine pride in delivering quality creative work which drives outcomes.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
