We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader to join our team as the Director of Aged Care Services At MDHS we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our elderly residents. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational leadership of Maryborough District Health Services three Residential Communities facilities, and professional leadership and responsibility of the geriatric nursing and allied health teams. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing at Avoca and Dunolly, the role is responsible for ensuring the provision of quality care and managing the clinical and financial performance of Aged Care.

MDHS services the Central Goldfields and Pyrenees Shire with campuses in Avoca, Dunolly and Maryborough. Director of Aged Care

Permanent - Full Time – 80 hours per fortnight

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader to join our team as the Director of Aged Care Services At MDHS we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our elderly residents. We believe in creating a nurturing and supportive environment where our team members can thrive, enabling them to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational leadership of Maryborough District Health Services three Residential Communities facilities, and professional leadership and responsibility of the geriatric nursing and allied health teams. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • AHPRA registration, with a Post-Graduate qualifications, preferably in Gerontology
  • Experience at a senior management level in health, preferably in the aged care sector
  • In depth knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and accreditation framework policies

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior management level in health preferably in the aged care sector.
  • In depth knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, accreditation framework and policies.
  • Demonstrating the traits, inclinations, and dispositions that characterize successful leaders; exhibiting behaviour styles that meet the demands of a leader role.
  • Invites feedback on own behaviour and impact; uses new knowledge or information about self to build a broader understanding of own behaviour and the impact it has on others.
  • Working effectively and cooperatively with others; establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Interacting with others in a way that givens them confidence in one's intention and those of the organisation.
  • Development and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
