A newly created role that can have a direct impact on change in a well-established nonprofit in the early learning industry, for an experienced Project Officer delivering a range of projects.

The Federal Government's new Child Care Subsidy (CCS) took effect in July 2023, with the aim of making early learning (childcare) services more affordable for families.

The ramifications of that will bring considerable change right across this sector, with many experts seeing it as the dawning of a better, more equitable age.


If you have a proven project management track record, this is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in a newly created role.


The key duties of this role are:

  • Delivery of a range of projects resourcing, project development and planning
  • Supporting membership engagement
  • Development of business cases internal initiatives
  • Accountability for project performance reporting
  • Responsibility for financial management of projects
  • Risk and issue management for project
  • Team resource management
  • Strong and effective communication with internal stakeholders
  • General administrative support including committee meeting agendas
  • Keeping up to date with current Early Learning/Childcare reforms, policies and legislative requirements
  • Able to engage and build partnerships with different business units and stakeholders
  • Detailed understanding of project delivery best practice and methodologies
  • Strong analytical thinking and an ability to see the bigger picture
  • Excellent problem solving and problem resolution skills
  • Early Childhood background or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Sound experience in allround administration tasks
  • Demonstrated ability working with competing deadlines and under pressure
