About the role


As the Facilities Services Manager, you will support the Contract Manager and the Management team in the leadership, management, and operation of the Centre for National Resilience Perth.


About You


You provide strong leadership and guidance along with promoting and leading by example of Serco's Values and Code of Conduct.

You have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with others and create an effective teamwork environment which achieves the goals and objectives of the Centre's operating requirements.

You promote a safety culture by following all Health & Safety Standards and processes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
  • A relevant trade qualification
  • A Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Property Management or equivalent is highly regarded (or relevant experience)
  • Previous experience in a senior management role responsible for critical assets and infrastructure
  • Strong project management experience
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislative requirements according to contract obligations, Codes of Practice, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Australian Standards and any other specific requirements managing and providing services in accordance with relevant legislation and requirements
  • Possess excellent people skills, commercial awareness, budget and labour management knowledge, financial astuteness, and customer service skills
  • The ability to provide consultation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Sound and effective budget management

On Call Requirements
The expected hours of the role are 38 per week Monday-Friday.

However, on occasion additional effort may be required to achieve business outputs and KPI milestones, including being the out of hours "on call" contact, respondent, and actioner/escalator for Urgent Priority Rated Work Orders.


  • This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check and working with children check as an essential selection component for this role._

About the Centre for National Resilience - Perth


The primary focus of the Centre for National Resilience is to ensure the safety, comfort, and dignity of Quarantine Guests and Staff.

Serco as the Operator of the Centre for National Resilience, Perth is responsible for the overarching services.

We will provide care and maintenance of the Centre and transition to full operations as required by the State Government of the quarantine facility located at Bullsbrook.

Serco are excited to partner with WA Government and the Department of Health to assist. The Centre for National Resilience in being available to respond to natural disasters or any future health crises.
