The Role

This is a civilian (non-uniformed) role and part of the Air Academy (AirA) Aviation Psychology team providing psychology services to aviation Air Force elements of AirA, primarily Perth region.

The Aviation Psychologist (AvPsych) delivers best-practice resilience, organisational and mental health programs to trainees at Number 2 Flying Training School (2FTS) and other AirA units.

The AvPsych works with AirA leadership to optimise members' performance.

Works as part of an integrated team under the direction of CO 2FTS, completes psychological reports in a timely manner.

The AvPsych provides input and guidance at performance review boards and individual welfare boards process to ensure the most appropriate management of individual trainee cases.

A central attraction of the role is the opportunity to work with professional, highly motivated individuals who are solution-focused and very receptive to interventions to optimise their performance, development and well-being of aviation personnel.

As part of the 2FTS Executive team, this position is located at RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook, Western Australia.
