This role is accountable for ensuring the effective and timely processing of linen for Metro North Hospital and Health Service.
When you are successful in the role, you will:
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and team members and ability to effectively communicate and influence staff
- This is a manual handling position requiring you to conduct:
- repetitive manual handling of laundry items
- handling linen items
- sorting soiled linen.
- Some workstations require the use of specialised PPE
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use automated machinery and some computerised equipment
Mandatory qualifications, licences and other requirements:
- It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment (Health Employment Directive No. 01/16): measles, mumps, rubella (MMR),varicella (chicken pox),pertussis (whooping cough),hepatitis B, tuberculosis
- It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID19 (Health Employment Directive No. 12/21 and Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
