About the Role:

As a Duty Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operations of our hotel.

You will work closely with the property's senior management team to ensure an excellent guest experience. You will have access to benefits including discounted hotel stays across Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring efficient running of overall hotel operations, ensuring all guests receive an exceptional service to uphold brand standards.
  • Monitoring and keeping track of KPI's which leads to continuous improvement of operations.
  • Contribute to daily inspections of the hotel to ensure it is maintained both internally and externally according to brand standards and expectations
  • Ensuring any untidiness, damages or maintenance issues are reported and followed up.
  • Ensuring all guest requests and complaint is done in a calm and professional manner.
  • Ensuring the standards, policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensuring effective running costs by minimising wages costs and avoiding unnecessary costs to the business during periods of lower revenue.
  • Ensuring the correct collection and monitoring of revenue at all collections points (e.g. Car Parking, Room Service, Telephone, Accommodation)
  • Ensuring any work requested by Hotel Manager is completed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all communications with Management are responded to promptly.
  • Ensuring a clear communication path between your team and other department
  • Contribute to the overall operation of the hotel.
  • Promote a strong team culture across the hotel including developing and maintaining interdepartmental relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with work, health and safety standards
  • Provide information to guests about local attractions and activities

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
  • Working knowledge of a Property Management System preferably Guest Centrix or similar.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation.
  • Ability to drive a strong team culture.
  • Full availability to work a 7day rotating roster
