Key skills and specialist technical areas:

• Thorough understanding and application of NSW groundwater related regulations and guidelines on resource, development, and infrastructure projects
• Working knowledge of other relevant National and New South Wales groundwater laws and policies, standards, and guidelines
• Familiarity with numerical hydrogeological modeling would be beneficial, particularly utilizing MODFLOW-USG code
• Project management experience, especially in overseeing large technical projects in the resource sector
• Supervising junior staff in preparing high-quality reports for both internal and external clients within specified timelines and budgets
• Contributing to business development by identifying opportunities, leveraging client relationships, and converting leads
• Building and strengthening relationships with key clients to enhance SLR's brand presence in the region
• Providing guidance and support to clients, team members, and Project Managers on projects regarding best practices

To be successful in this role
Our ideal candidate will have 12-20+ years of industry experience, consultancy background, and:

• Relevant Engineering or Science degree with groundwater industry expertise
• Proven track record in managing large hydrogeology or multidisciplinary projects
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and team collaboration abilities
• Excellent communication and technical report writing skills
• Successful experience in mentoring junior staff
• Established history in fostering lasting client relationships
• Familiarity with the broader water market, particularly surface water resources
• Australian Citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license
