Job Description

We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Manager to oversee and elevate our Food Testing labs in Melbourne. This role involves managing the Food Chemistry Testing & Food Microbiology Testing teams to drive operational excellence and contribute to strategic objectives and business expansion.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Leading the team through recruitment, motivation, development, and retention of top talent to establish a high-performing group with a solid succession plan.
  • Ensuring continuous enhancement, control, and coordination of the quality management system and activities in alignment with quality policies.
  • Maintaining and improving customer satisfaction by managing marketing and sales activities and fostering positive client relationships.
  • Driving organic growth and upholding industry standards and profitability.
  • Achieving operational KPIs within the annual budget targets.
  • Promoting a culture of safety across all operations and activities through incident investigations, safe practices, and worker involvement in line with safety policies.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in people leadership focusing on safety, quality, production, re-engineering, and cost efficiency.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, and business-oriented with a proven track record of excellence.
  • Experience in business development and cultivating strong client relationships.
  • Familiarity with Eurofins Business Line or similar technical environments.
  • Background in quality and accreditation processes is advantageous.
  • Technical or commerce qualifications, and university master's level credentials are a plus.
