Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager to lead and enhance our Food Testing laboratories in Melbourne. Working with our Food Chemistry Testing & Food Microbiology Testing teams, this role will include day-to-day management of the laboratories and operations to help achieve strategic plans and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the team by hiring, motivating, developing, and retaining exceptional managers and employees to establish a reliable and high performing group with a robust succession plan.
- Ensuring continuous development, control, implementation and coordination of the quality management system and quality activities of the Business Unit following relevant quality policies/procedures.
- Maintaining and continuously enhancing customer satisfaction through effective management of marketing and sales activities, nurturing strong positive relationships with clients, ensuring interactions are productive and efficient.
- Driving organic growth of the Business Unit while also achieving/maintaining best industry standards and profitability.
- Meeting operational KPI's to the agreed Operational Budget annual targets.
- Fostering a commitment to safety as a core principle of all operations and activities, through incident investigations, safe work practices, and worker participation in the workplace according to safety policies/procedures.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a successful people leader, emphasizing safety, quality, production, re-engineering, and cost reduction.
- Energetic, passionate, and strongly business-oriented, with a track record of quality and relevant experience.
- Experience in business development and cultivating strong, enduring relationships with clients.
- Familiarity with Eurofins Business Line or similar environments (e.g. Laboratory Setting, Field work etc.).
- Experience in quality and accreditation processes is advantageous.
- Background and/or experience in technical environments (e.g. scientific, engineering, manufacturing) or process-driven settings is advantageous.
- Technical or commerce qualifications and/or university master's level qualifications are advantageous.
