A day in the life of a Residential Accommodation Disability Support worker at Yooralla.working towards their goals shopping, appointments and events daily living and personal care needs, including assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene and mobility, and We're looking for people who are passionate, have a great attitude and an eagerness to learn.
You'll share Yooralla'svaluesand have:
a positive approach, initiative and self-motivation willingness to be committed to empowering our clients to reach their goals, and to upholding quality and safeguards in your everyday work willingness to travel and/or transition to new SDA in the future experience with BOCs/High Complex Behaviour effective communication skills, and good English literacy to communicate well with our clients ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team willingness to support clients with personal care activities Australian Driver Licence the right to work in Australia, and The ability to get a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate if you don't already have one.
A Certificate IV in Disability, relevant work experience or an interest in community services would be great, if you already have any of these.
If not, don't worry as Yooralla provides excellent training and support, and can even support you to work and study.
