Personal Care Worker, Aged and Disability, Gold Coast

Our comprehensive range of services includes aged and disability care, transitional care, hospital in the home, and palliative care. We are currently in search of experienced Aged Care and Disability Support Workers to deliver invaluable support to our aging clients and clients living with disabilities.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability Support, or enrolment in Nursing studies.
  • Federal Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • A valid driver's license and comprehensive insurance for a private vehicle.
  • Access to a smartphone.
  • NDIS worker screen clearance and orientation module certificate (desirable).
  • Relevant experience in working with the aged and/or individuals with disabilities.
  • Students should have completed a minimum of 120 hours in clinical work placement.
Preferred Skills

The successful applicant should have the following skills and attributes:

  • A minimum of six months of experience as a personal care worker in the healthcare sector, encompassing Aged Care, Residential Care, or In-home and Community Care.
  • An exceptional service-oriented approach and a genuine desire to create a positive impact.
  • Proficiency in literacy and numeracy.
  • Competence in transferring clients in and out of beds and chairs and providing mobility assistance.
  • Proficiency in showering, toileting and light housekeeping tasks, as well as assisting in meal preparation.
  • The ability to transport clients to appointments and social activities.
  • The capability to provide social companionship.
  • Possession of a basic competency level required to meet the diverse needs of our clients in their home environment.
