We design, manufacture, and install modular buildings for education, affordable housing, mining, custodial and commercial sectors across all mainland Australian states.

Our recreational vehicle work includes servicing as well as manufacture and distribute leading products. We work as One Fleetwood across our group of companies, including Building Solutions, Community Solutions and RV Solutions.

About the role:

This exceptional role requires an astute General Manager to be responsible for the successful leadership and management of our Victorian business in accordance with strategic and budgetary targets.

Based out of our Derrimut facility with oversight of our additional Bendigo facilities, you will lead an experienced cross functional team who are driven and enthusiastic about further growing our footprint in the modular construction sector.

Key functions of the role will include commercial and operational performance with full responsibility of the Victorian P&L and managing business activities across sales, production, design, and site-based construction.

You will review and implement changes necessary to optimise profitability and work strategically to the broader business objectives & goals.

Your aim will be to ensure employee development initiatives are achieved and maintained, whilst continuing to focus on one of our key values in "Zero Harm".

The key responsibilities of the role are to:Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, mentoring and guidance to team members.
Lead, motivate and influence the business performance to deliver the required outcomes to key stakeholders.
Introduce, manage, and maintain practices to improve overall service to clients.
Facilitate and maintain effective communication between the various functional areas.
Overall accountability for profit and loss of the state operations.
Oversee the timely and accurate provision of relevant finance activities in accordance with contract and budget objectives.

Review the performance of individual projects against deliverables, stepping in where necessary and reporting any areas of concern to the Executive.

Facilitate career development, training and succession planning to ensure the retention, professional growth, and personal contribution of all employees.
Actively engage with the Executive and Leadership Team to meet overall objectives.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of all relevant management reports.
Contribute to the development, communication, and management of the annual Business plan.
Approve team expenditure in line with Level of Authority.
Controlling the hours of work to ensure wages are maintained within the budgeted limits.
Overall responsibility of HSEQ performance.
Interface with various departments to maximise workflow and develop strong working relationships.
Provide production related advice and information to other managers, employees, and clients.

About You :
Your exceptional people leadership capability will enable you to deliver high quality outcomes & results through a multidisciplinary team.

You will be strategic, analytical and possess the ability to develop, implement, and execute on strategies and against financial budgets.

Ideally you will have exposure to modern methods of construction and or experience within the traditional construction sector.

The successful candidate will lead by example and demonstrate the ability to instil collaboration, integrity, and accountability across the Victorian operation.


To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:Minimum 5 years' experience within Senior Management in a construction-based environment or similarModular construction experience desirableMaster of Business Administration is advantageousTertiary qualification in Project Management or Construction Management, or other relevant qualification in construction disciplines is desirableUnderstanding of project management principles, building codes and construction methodologies.

Proven financial acumen with P&L responsibilityStrong strategic mindset with the ability to identify, plan, and executeCoaching skills with the ability to build, lead and mentor a teamExcellent communication skills, written and verbalStrong analytical and evaluation skills including the ability to identify and implement strategies for improved deliveryStrong time management skillsExcellent problem solving and decision-making skillsProficient in MS Excel, Word & Outlook
