Our client is a federal government agency dedicated to enhancing public health access by delivering essential and cost-effective health services, medications, devices, and other health innovations to the Australian population.

We are looking to fill 2 HTA Assessors (APS5 & 6) roles for candidates with a solid background in biomaterials, biomedical engineering, or health-related sciences to contribute to the enhancement of healthcare and prostheses accessibility in Australia.

You will oversee the complete assessment and evaluation process by the MSAC and the PBAC or other accessibility programs, conducting research and analysis to offer insights on HTA matters and providing administrative and secretarial support, including drafting briefs, ministerial submissions, correspondence, reports, policy papers, commentaries, and minutes.

To be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and ideally possess:

  • Experience in medical devices and Health Technology Assessment, with qualifications in biomaterials, biomedical engineering, or health-related disciplines.
  • Strong written communication and project management skills, with the ability to deliver on multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new knowledge, adapt to a dynamic environment, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders such as hospitals, insurers, and medical device sponsors.
