Are you prepared to have a significant influence in the field of higher education? The NTEU Queensland Division is excited for you to join their team as a Union Organiser. In this role, you will have a pivotal role in shaping the future working conditions for academic and general staff at James Cook and Central Queensland Universities.

This full-time position is mainly based at the Townsville Campus of JCU, with regular travel to CQU Rockhampton.

As a Union Organiser, you will be at the core of our progressive organization, focused on advocating for the rights and interests of employees in the higher education sector. Your responsibilities will include providing general administrative support for the Branch and its Committees, participating in organizing, recruitment, and campaign activities, as well as managing crucial networks of workplace representatives and activists.

We recognize the value of supporting our team members and provide a collaborative and encouraging work environment where each individual is appreciated and empowered to make a positive impact.

We are seeking candidates with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent, who have the determination to create positive change in the higher education field.
