MARS are partnering with a large and leading ASX listed Financial Services company based in the CBD, who are looking to hire a Head of Finance Business Partnering on a permanent basis.

This role is responsible for leading a small team, providing insights on driving company performance, heading up projects and business partnering with the C-suite.


The Responsibilities:
In addition to supporting and business partnering with the CFO, you'll be responsible for:

  • Enhancing business performance by identifying and analysing any issues that arise and providing strategic insights
  • Managing the business' financial position, profit and loss and reporting
  • Partnering with various divisions to drive the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process
  • Reviewing the teams' reporting across forecasting, cashflow, analysis, strategic planning and investor deliverables
  • Supervising and signing off on business case and pricing models
  • Act as the financial lead on key projects including monitoring their progress, spend and capitalisation
  • Managing and developing a small team
  • Driving continuous process improvements to increase operational efficiencies

The Requirements:

  • University educated and CA/CPA qualified
  • Experience working within Financial Services is highly desirable
  • Several years of strong Finance Business Partnering skills and ability to manage and prioritise stakeholder requirements
  • Experienced in leading a small team
  • Ability to analyse and digest complex information from various data sources to provide strategic insights and add value
  • Confident in Excel and using large ERP systems
  • Hyperion or Peoplesoft are advantageous
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • A selfstarter with a positive attitude and initiative

To Note:

  • The hybrid working model is 2 days in the office, 3 days from home
  • Only Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be considered for this position
